bodice on style #133 is a full 2” longer (and the skirt 2” shorter)
to leave more room for silk screening, embellishing or painting.
We’ve kept our style #33--our most popular style--with its little
baby-doll yoke.

Everybody
had a favorite “soft book” as a child, and for years we’ve wanted to
offer one to customers who do handpainting or embellishing. Finally,
this season 2 of our Fashion Blanks employees came up with a charming,
durable design (p. 9). You’ll see many new styles in both the children’s
and women’s pages, and may notice some items have been dropped. We keep
patterns of discontinued styles and can still sew them for you, with
slightly higher minimums. (We have stock on hand in some discontinued
styles, at a 40% discount; be sure to ask for inventory details!)
We
are thrilled to be offering our first synthetic fabric: MICROFLEECE.
This fabric is warm, durable, lightweight, and easy to clean. While
it can’t be garment-dyed, it is available in basic colors. Please call
us for swatches of the “soft-touch” and the rougher “Berber” quality,
and to find out more about colors.

A great new collection of baby-only styles, available only in
sizes 3m, 6m and 9m and absolutely perfect for embellishment.
Because these styles are only offered in the very smallest sizes,
they don’t take much fabric. The cost savings is passed directly
on to you, since we don’t have to “price-average” with the 18m
and 24m sizes usually offered in infants.

In
NATURAL, UNBLEACHED fabrics we offer velour, linen, jersey, rib,
fleece and rayon tencel.
The
natural fabrics have not been processed as much as the bleached white
fabrics, and some still have tiny specks of seeds. However, both natural
and white will garment-dye beautifully, and are priced the same.
We
also stock jersey fabric in basic colors like black, red, fuchsia,
purple, royal and yellow--please call for swatches. (Garments
made in colored fabric, like our white garments, ARE NOT PRE-SHRUNK.)
If you prefer to develop your own color palette, we recommend working
directly with a professional garment-dyer. Please call us if you need
a referral to a good garment-dyer in your part of the country.
